Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Material Planning Analyst located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, the Material Planning Analyst role involves managing and planning customer demand, conducting data analysis to support multiple areas within the materials function to ensure on-time and efficient deliveries.

What a typical day looks like:
  1. Track the materials team performance through diverse reports.
  2. Elaborate and present “clear to build” analysis to the customer.
  3. Work closely with program management and materials management areas.
  4. Release the MRP execution to purchasing on a weekly basis.
  5. Analyze customer demand and, based on materials availability, determine if the demand can be met (availability and schedules).
  6. Upload data into the MRP system following guidelines from materials and program management, considering customer demand information.
  7. Work closely with the purchasing team to improve material arrivals.
  8. Monitor and track lead times.
  9. Submit the CTB to the program manager and production control for the elaboration of the production plan, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in scheduling with CTB (Clear to Build).
  10. Analyze and authorize ECOs (engineering change orders) for the Product Engineering team.
  11. Conduct excess and obsolete inventory analysis and implement corrective actions when required.
  12. Project inventory data.
  13. Assist in auditing data for accuracy and preparing reports, spreadsheets, graphics, and charts.
  14. Help prepare recommendations for management based on data research.
  15. Proactively identify and escalate potential issues related to metrics.

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in materials management.
  • BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience.
  • Strong MRP knowledge.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Assertive communication skills, both verbal and written, with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Experience in efficient control processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with databases such as Kinaxis is a plus.
