British American Tobacco Mexico is seeking a Data Engineer (Databricks / Pyspark) in Monterrey, belonging to the DBS function.

This role supports the US team with data integration, architecture, and process optimization tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources using Databricks and PySpark, ensuring data quality and consistency.
2. Develop cloud-based enterprise solutions in PySpark, SQL, and related frameworks.
3. Understand Data Architecture concepts.
4. Analyze and optimize processing performance.
5. Apply standard methodologies in Design & Analysis, Automation, Testing, Monitoring, and Documentation.
6. Coordinate issue resolution with cross-functional teams and vendors.
7. Assist the project manager with work plans, effort estimates, and delivery timelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience.
• Experience gathering requirements and working with partners.
• Proficiency in Python and Pandas.
• Experience developing ETL pipelines with PySpark and Cloud Storage (preferably AWS S3).
• Experience with Databricks, Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP), Teradata, Snowflake (preferably AWS).
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
