Responsibilities
- Responsible for new tooling activities: quotation, design verification (mold flow), qualification, and release.
- Establishing new molding processes, including knowledge of material properties, for all new tooling applications. Complete formal process release studies with applicable capability studies.
- Manage new tooling and molding process schedules and critical path timing.
- Set up tooling in an injection molding machine and be familiar with auxiliary equipment related to this setup.
- Coordinate all Engineering Change Request (ECR) activities.
- Monitor mold tooling uptime and coordinate new preventive maintenance activities.
- Assist with documentation for molding-related operations (process flow charts, PFMEA, work instructions, etc.).
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to injection molding.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support, promote, and perform in alignment with continuous improvement goals and the values of SSI Technologies, Inc., including adherence to Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a molding environment.
- Experience with statistical methods and software, familiar with DOE’s.
- CAD experience (3D models and 2D prints).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with injection molding equipment and processes.
- Good business acumen, with a solid understanding of finance.
- Data-driven mindset for identifying and prioritizing opportunities and issues.
- Energetic, self-driven professional with high customer focus.
- Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
