In this role, you will utilize your expertise in MongoDB and AWS RDS to ensure database security, performance tuning, and high availability in a cloud environment. Formación

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
• Strong expertise in MongoDB Atlas, including replication and sharding.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.

Database Administrator DBA MongoDB AWS RDS

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in MongoDB and AWS RDS, with familiarity with Oracle as a plus. You will be responsible for ensuring database security, performance tuning, and high availability in a cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Administer, configure, and optimize MongoDB databases for performance and scalability.
2. Manage AWS RDS instances, ensuring reliability, backups, and disaster recovery.
3. Implement monitoring, performance tuning, and database optimization strategies.
4. Develop and maintain backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity.
5. Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and indexing strategies.
6. Ensure database security, compliance, and adherence to best practices.
7. Utilize knowledge of Oracle databases for migration support and integration purposes.
8. Automate database tasks using scripts and tools such as Python, Bash, etc.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

1. 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
2. Strong expertise in MongoDB Atlas, including replication, sharding, and backup strategies.
3. Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
4. Knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization.
5. Experience with database security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
6. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have / Bonus

1. Experience with Oracle Database administration.
2. Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL database integration.
3. Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or similar.
4. Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform for database automation.
