The Opportunity
Are you ready to drive supply chain excellence in one of the largest business lines at Hitachi Energy? We are looking for a dynamic Sourcing Procurement Senior Professional to join our team in Reynosa, MX. In this role, you will be the key liaison between our Reynosa factory, HUB SCM, and the global IM&S organization. You will translate the Business Line category strategy to the regional level and lead regional execution, ensuring continuous improvement to support Power Grid Transformers (PGTR) NAM business objectives. Your efforts will directly impact total cost of ownership and supply performance, helping us achieve our Procurement and Logistics (PL) regional targets. How You'll Make an Impact
Collaborate with local factory, HUB NAM SCM, and global IM&S organizations to secure optimal service and costs for indirect materials.
Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) sourcing activities and mitigate risks.
Conduct negotiations, establish contracts, and monitor compliance with regional suppliers.
Work with Engineering to propose application alternatives and drive consolidation within the category.
Drive cost reduction through technical requirements and data analysis.
Analyze commodity spend, market dynamics, and price developments; rationalize inputs from factories for sourcing strategy.
Communicate strategy and negotiation results to factories, ensuring proper implementation in local ERP systems.
Support factory implementation of the strategy and drive selected SCM projects.
Your Background
Experience in Supply Chain and/or indirect materials and services (purchasing, sourcing, localization, and supplier development).
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience.
Working knowledge of SAP.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Problem-solving oriented.
