Resumen

As a member of the Management team, the Director of Sales is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. This position reports to the hotel General Manager.

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the division in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, while meeting employee, guest, and owner expectations. The Director of Sales leads all selling activities within the hotel, working closely with the Rooms, Food and Beverage, and other revenue-generating departments to maximize sales through the activities of the Sales Department and other employees.

Main activities of the position:
  1. Ability to analyze data across various platforms.
  2. Knowledge of the Merida destination and market.
  3. Provide positive feedback to the Sales Department and other Hotel Departments. Recruit, direct, coach, and mentor sales team members.
  4. Review sales channels to ensure alignment with defined strategies.
  5. Formulate strategies for rate and inventory sales, restrictions, and packages to maximize revenue from an optimal rate and occupancy perspective (commercial action plans and target goals).
  6. Establish realistic and achievable weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets or objectives with KPI metrics.
  7. Manage advertising, public relations, and promotional activities.
Calificaciones
  • Must have Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, or similar.
  • Must have 5 years of experience in sales management positions with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; professional proficiency required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of platforms such as Opera, Amadeus, Cibent.
  • Experience in managing digital marketing and social media strategies.
