IFF is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing within the Logistics category in North America. This role involves supplier management, negotiation, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to optimize procurement strategies and achieve cost savings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Formación

  • 3-5 years of procurement experience in relevant categories within the US.
  • Negotiation experience (>4 years) in English.
  • Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing within the Logistics category in the NA region, adhering to Global Procurement policies, systems, and procedures. You will contribute to the execution of Global Procurement strategies through active participation in assigned categories, including Rail Transportation.

The role requires extensive internal interaction with regional Procurement organizations and Operations partners across different sites within NA to support spend management from supplier discovery, RFI, vendor selection, awarding, sourcing execution, and ensuring proper agreements are in place. You will monitor KPIs on service delivery, resolve price discrepancies and disputes with vendors, and support sites to meet customer requests efficiently and cost-effectively.

You will manage relationships with key suppliers, align sourcing strategies with business objectives, and maintain extensive market/network knowledge for regional external interactions. Responsibilities also include achieving year-over-year savings, improving working capital, supplier development, and collaborating on digital strategy and innovation programs.

As a valued business partner, you will support initiatives aligned with the company's strategic objectives, providing market intelligence to evaluate competitive advantage.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop strong sourcing capabilities within IFF in NA to support successful logistics services.
  2. Maintain connections with internal stakeholders to understand demand and future trends.
  3. Support regional category strategies to meet objectives with lowest life cycle costs.
  4. Implement strategies within the portfolio, driving results and achieving objectives.
  5. Apply IFF’s strategic sourcing methodology: analyze spend, assess market intelligence, develop market analysis, identify and approve new vendors.
  6. Apply SRM principles: develop supplier partnerships, support growth strategies with innovation and technology, and reduce non-value-added suppliers.
  7. Provide continuous communication to stakeholders and advocate for regional spend.
  8. Negotiate master agreements with vendors.
  9. Resolve vendor performance issues and negotiate claims when necessary.
  10. Coordinate efforts within NA and globally across IFF.
  11. Optimize and improve service quality through stakeholder collaboration.
  12. Reduce working capital via payment term negotiations and long-term planning.
Job Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Law, Economics, or Supply Chain.
  2. Proficiency in English, with strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  3. Negotiation experience (>4 years) in English.
  4. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  5. 3-5 years of procurement experience in relevant categories within the US.
  6. ERP knowledge (SAP/Oracle).
  7. Experience in the F&F industry, including understanding of certifications, regulations, and REACH.
  8. Proficiency with Office 365, procurement, and sourcing tools.
  9. Preferred: CPSM/ISM certification or equivalent.
