Amazon is seeking high-potential leaders ready to make an impact in Amazon Operations as entry-level managers. This role offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills, focus on people management, and master the tools and processes that make Amazon the most customer-centric company on Earth.

As an Area Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Amazon Associates in a distribution warehouse environment. Your responsibilities include motivating, mentoring, coaching your team, and ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and engagement standards are met. This role involves engaging with your team during shifts to maintain high performance and safety standards.

Fulfillment refers to completing customer orders through picking, packing, shipping, and delivery to meet or exceed expectations.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, and overtime during peak seasons

Location and Placement:

  • This is not a corporate role; it is located in a Fulfillment Center

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of 20 to 60 Associates
  • Communicate policies, ensure compliance, and take corrective actions
  • Create and support recognition and communication programs
  • Support safety programs and OSHA compliance
  • Ensure building security and product loss prevention
  • Partner with management to establish quality standards
  • Develop performance goals to meet customer demand and maintain quality

Job Elements:

  • Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
  • Walk frequently in the warehouse
  • Access all areas safely, including ladders and stairs
  • Regularly bend, lift, stretch, and reach
  • Lift items up to 49 pounds

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience or equivalent education/experience
  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, holidays
  • Professional English (B2+)
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
