SGI Global LLC is seeking a fluent English-speaking Curriculum Design Specialist to support the Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) in Mexico City, Mexico, which requires professional and administrative support services to work with the U.S. Foreign Assistance Program to Mexico.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Mexican citizen or Third Country National.
- Spanish FSI level 3/3.
- English FSI level 4/4.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of State (DOS) MRPT security clearance.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Ability to deal effectively with senior U.S. and Government of Mexico (GOM) officials.
- Experience in drafting and authoring training materials, reports, and presentations.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Duties
- The position is located in Mexico City, Mexico. Travel to other locations in Mexico, the United States, and other countries may be required.
- Design, develop, and implement training curricula for law enforcement and justice sector professionals in collaboration with INL and GOM officials.
- Coordinate and deconflict training offerings, content, and scope between all INL Mexico program teams and the USG interagency.
- Ensure curricula are aligned with best practices in adult learning and instructional design.
- Develop assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and participant learning outcomes.
- Conduct evaluations and provide feedback to improve training materials and delivery methods.
- Evaluate INL training mechanisms and suggest best practices.
- Provide subject matter expertise in curriculum design and instructional methodologies to INL and GOM officials.
- Stay current with trends and advancements in instructional design and adult learning.
- Draft and author weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on training activities, progress, and outcomes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of training programs, materials, and evaluations.
- Work closely with INL Program Officers, Project Coordinators, third party Contractors, or other Implementing partners and GOM counterparts to ensure training programs meet the needs of the target audience.
- Coordinate with other stakeholders, including U.S. Government inter-agency colleagues, international organizations, and foreign governments, to develop and implement training initiatives.
