OBJECTIVE
To oversee equipment cleaning activities, monitor microbiological swabs, chemical control, and follow-up of integrated pest management at the Sensient Flavors & Extracts Celaya Plant, ensuring product quality, legality, and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality and Safety Leadership
- Ensure compliance with prerequisites, fraud prevention, and food defense; HACCP as applicable.
BRC
- Implement, maintain, and improve food safety processes.
Food Safety Culture
- Promote food safety culture through training and specifications to ensure commitment and reduce customer complaints.
HACCP
- Evaluate processes for hazard control and perform risk analysis.
GMP Verification
- Verify GMP adherence and report incidents during shifts.
Environmental Sanitation
- Maintain sanitation according to the program, focusing on Hygienic Zones.
Zoning & Cross-Inspections
- Review and validate cleaning procedures, collaborate with microbiology and operations to identify contamination risks.
Cleaning Activities
- Perform daily cleaning of mats, apply quaternary salts, and verify cleaning records and chemical inventories.
Document Control
- Ensure production uses current procedures and cleaning formats.
Swabbing & Drain Cleaning
- Conduct weekly swabbing and verify drain cleaning activities.
Equipment & Sluice Maintenance
- Verify proper equipment cleaning, maintenance of mats, soap dispensers, and sanitizer systems.
Equipment Calibration
- Check and calibrate Ecolab equipment for proper operation and chemical dosage.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Knowledge of productive processes, allergen and cleaning programs, chemical control, GMPs, foreign matter management, environmental monitoring, and swabbing techniques.
- Basic management of the rule of three, chemical handling, forklift operation, and MSDS interpretation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
PERSONAL COMPETENCIES
- Leadership, task orientation, adherence to standards, honesty, and service attitude.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Completed technical bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the food industry.
- Intermediate proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
