Akkodis is seeking a Design Release Engineer to support the development of seating structure components in automotive interiors. The role involves designing metallic systems, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring quality standards. Ideal candidates will have a degree in engineering, experience in automotive seat systems, and proficiency in tools like NX and CATIA.

Formación

  • 3+ years in automotive seat systems or structural metal parts.
  • Intermediate/Advanced English (technical level).

Job Title: Design Release Engineer – Seat Structures

Location: Saltillo, Coahuila

Job Description:

Tier 1 supplier is seeking a Design Release Engineer (DRE) to support seating structure components in automotive interiors. The role is focused on metallic systems including seat frames, recliners, risers, and support brackets, from concept to production release.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and release structural components in the seating system (metallic parts, mechanisms, brackets, supports).
  • Lead cross-functional coordination with design, validation, manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Manage 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and ECRs using Teamcenter and NX/CATIA.
  • Support physical testing, prototype builds, and launch readiness.
  • Ensure application of GD&T, DFM/DFA, and product quality tools (APQP, PPAP).
  • Collaborate with plant and purchasing teams for cost and feasibility alignment.

Profile:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 3+ years in automotive seat systems or structural metal parts.
  • Proficient in NX or CATIA, Teamcenter, and automotive PLM tools.
  • Familiar with welding, stamping, and structural joint design.
  • Knowledge of automotive standards (IATF 16949, PPAP, FMEA).
  • English: Intermediate/Advanced (technical level).
