A leading company in power and control technologies is seeking an experienced SMT Process Engineer to lead daily activities ensuring compliance with standards and improving production processes. The role involves qualifying jigs and fixtures, optimizing setups, and supervising technicians. Candidates should have a degree in engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Formación

• Minimum of 5 years experience as SMT Process Engineer.
• Graduate of any engineering course.

Leads and controls the day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with standards, better yield, higher-quality products, and more efficient processes. Drives cost reduction and continuous improvement projects that affect product functionality, BOM costs, and material usage. Implements improved processes through capability studies, poka-yoke devices, statistical process controls, PFMEA, 8D, DoE, and control plans.

Responsibilities

1. Review manufacturability of the product starting from Proto to Pilot.
2. Process Qualification, Analysis & Assessment (NPI).
3. Qualify the jigs & fixtures fabricated by in-house and outside fabrication.
4. Improve the cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of production processes.
5. Develop methods, practices, and processes used to manufacture AISMT assemblies.
6. Ensure processes are in control and comply with customers' requirements and applicable standards.
7. Document root causes and corrective actions for internal and external issues.
8. Respond to production inquiries on product/process issues and provide immediate fixes and actions.
9. Apply statistical methods and engineering analysis to quality problems related to AISMT processes.
10. Generate Procedures/WIS for AISMT processes.
11. Ensure product BOM accuracy based on processes (structure and usage).
12. Generate documents BOM where all listed components can be inserted/mounted.
13. Optimize AISMT program setup from PCB loading to AOI inspection process.
14. Operate, set up, program, and troubleshoot AISMT machines.
15. Supervise technicians in their daily activities and tasks.

Qualifications

1. Graduate of any engineering course.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience working as SMT Process Engineer.
3. Knowledge of programming, setup, and basic troubleshooting of machines like Siemens/Siplace, ERSA Reflow, DEK/ESE Printer will be an advantage.
4. Working knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD001 workmanship criteria.
5. Knowledge in SPC, DOE, and other problem-solving tools.
