FUNCTIONS

BASIC FUNCTION
Under the supervision of the Plant Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for developing, maintaining and leading project-engineering programs to keep the automated equipment in good operating conditions, through preventive and corrective maintenance. Moreover, is responsible for the proper function of the automated equipment, such as: PLCs, Robots, Drives and Sensors.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure the correct operation of the control programs according to production necessities.
2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to control devices, to avoid malfunctions or delays.
3. Maintain and solve problems of all equipment of the Plant, such as PLCs, Robots, Drives, sensors and Instrumentation.
4. Support manufacturing improvement through KOS and support a safe work environment.
5. Design and build small machines to improve production work and reduce Takt Time.
6. Advise and/or respond to automation problems on a 24-hour basis as needed.
7. Perform the assignments established by his supervisor to maintain plant equipment in good operating conditions.
8. Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (See Responsibilities chart by position).

EDUCATION

Preference: Engineering Degree.

EXPERIENCE

Preference: 4 years’ work experience in manufacturing operation.

FORMATION

Preference: broad knowledge in automated control devices and technologies. Preference: Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based software applications.
