Fresh-Out New Grad Software Order Engineer

Cuernavaca, Morelos (Hybrid)

Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Fresh-Out Software Order Engineer who is primarily responsible for developing and testing bank chip programming for LATAM. This role involves developing and validating personalization solutions for factory delivery and providing support.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Develop proficiency in programming languages, frameworks, and tools; apply this knowledge to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
2. Migrate legacy programs and reports to new technology following corporate guidelines.
3. Collaborate with senior developers, team leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications and design documents.
4. Participate in the development of software applications, modules, and components, adhering to established coding standards, best practices, and methodologies.
5. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software components, identify and resolve issues, and ensure delivery of high-quality, error-free code.
6. Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work within project timelines, proactively communicating progress, challenges, and potential risks to stakeholders.
7. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, helping to resolve software-related issues promptly and professionally.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Recent graduate (2023-2024) in software engineering, computer science, or relevant field; or equivalent experience.
2. Up to 1 year of experience with programming languages (Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.), reporting tools (Jasper), and databases (SQLite, Oracle, MariaDB, MySQL, etc.).
3. Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, both oral and written.
4. Strong communicator and negotiator, analytical, results-oriented, customer-focused, with good time management, autonomy, honesty, and empathy. Focused on helping customers and ensuring their satisfaction.
