Job Overview

We are building a talent pipeline for future opportunities in our Strategic Sourcing team, specifically for managerial roles focused on indirect commodities such as corporate services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support migration of Indirect Procurement processes from Americas countries to Mexico and prepare related process documentation (process maps and work instructions).
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert for assigned commodities.
  • Conduct data or requirement gathering, market desk research, TCO calculation, benchmarking.
  • Organize weekly regional commodity calls with Commodity Management and buyers.
  • Serve as the go-to person for commodity-specific questions from buyers.
  • Support and partner with Commodity Management on strategic projects, business planning, and forecasting, prioritizing opportunities based on savings potential versus effort required.
  • Identify projects through spend analytics and opportunity identification.
  • Manage strategic and sourcing projects as assigned, following the project scope, milestones, objectives, and timeline.
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing projects from ideation to contract execution and ordering.
  • Follow guidelines in the commodity playbook and relevant SOPs for sourcing activities.
  • Set selection criteria for suppliers invited to RFXs.
  • Understand suppliers' capabilities.
  • Enforce the use of TE contract templates with all suppliers.
  • Collect supplier quotations and compare prices and proposals.
  • Calculate savings based on quotations.
  • Collaborate with Commodity Management and stakeholders to select suppliers.
  • Report productivity in relevant systems.
  • Manage own contracts, including redlining, stakeholder alignment, negotiations, and interaction with Legal.
  • Ensure proper upload of executed contracts in the repository.
  • Support implementation of new contracts and upload metadata to the contract database.
  • Participate in global/regional supplier reviews and internal meetings.
  • Provide commodity-specific training to new buyers.
  • Ensure compliance with TE policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the function.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Attend team meetings and trainings as required.
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years in strategic sourcing or procurement, ideally in manufacturing.
  • Experience managing indirect categories, particularly corporate services.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems such as SAP.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.
  • Travel: 10-25%
  • Location: Mexico.
  • Type: Remote.
