Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Logistics & Trade Compliance Supervisor.

What You’ll Do

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To ensure compliance with all Eaton’s international and domestic legal and transportation requirements, following Eaton's guidance and deploying Corporate Strategy at Cuautitlan operation, while observing all applicable legislation.

Coordinate import and export operations for all materials and fixed assets, ensuring compliance with Mexican Customs and foreign laws.

Implement and document all GTM policies and procedures, perform internal reviews, and identify compliance issues requiring formal attention.

Lead OEA and C-TPAT certifications.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican and International Laws.
  • Manage Inventory Control system in compliance with ANNEX 24 requirements and oversee TSMX system health.
  • Review import and export manifests, perform internal audits, and record keeping.
  • Support import/export transactions, ensuring documentation compliance with Mexican and International regulations, including record keeping, customs broker instructions, and control of IMMEX and INEGI.
  • Oversee Fixed Assets Control to ensure legal compliance.
  • Leverage Free Trade Agreements and duty-savings opportunities, managing certificates of origin.
  • Ensure accuracy of certificates of origin per USMCA requirements.
  • Coordinate virtual transfers with suppliers and customers.
  • Develop freight management strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with carriers, freight lines, and brokers to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
  • Provide visibility of inbound and outbound shipments, optimize logistics routes, and control freight costs.
  • Develop risk management strategies and prepare compliance reports for regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Foreign Trade, International Trade, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Customs Law, Origin Laws, IMMEX regulations, and Free Trade Agreements.
  • Thorough understanding of Mexican and International customs trade law.
  • Ability to research and understand regional import regulations.
  • Knowledge of SAP and TSMX (Vastera) is a plus.
  • Experience of 3-5 years.
  • Experience in Maquila environment.
