Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a Sr Manager, Business Development, and play a pivotal role in crafting our future! This is an outstanding opportunity to lead and innovate in the dynamic world of sales, based in Mexico. You will develop senior-level relationships within accounts to improve our market share and drive success.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote Cross-Divisional Approach to Industrial & Applied/Pharma Biotech:
- Develop and implement strategies to integrate and promote Thermo Fisher Scientific's diverse offerings across various divisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive and unified market approaches.
Foster End-to-End Thermo Fisher Scientific Solutions:
- Advocate for and facilitate the adoption of our comprehensive solutions within client organizations.
- Ensure clients understand the value and benefits of coordinated solutions spanning the entire product lifecycle.
Implement New Business Strategies:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the industrial/pharmaceutical and biopharma sectors.
- Build and implement strategic plans to drive growth and achieve sales targets.
Track New Projects and Opportunities:
- Monitor and manage a pipeline of projects and opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and engagement.
- Apply CRM tools for tracking progress and maintaining accurate records of client interactions and project statuses.
Evaluate Industry and Market Trends:
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market evaluations.
Improve Industrial Network:
- Develop and nurture positive relationships with key collaborators in the industrial market.
- Attend industry conferences, networking events, and other relevant gatherings to expand our presence and influence.
Minimum Qualifications (must have):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience with a strong track record for sales achievement.
- A great teammate with a proven ability to coordinate activities and influence actions across a team of resources not directly reporting.
- Proven ability to coordinate activities and influence actions of our commercial and channel representatives to drive central initiatives.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Understanding of international business with strong financial/business insight.
- Strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness and ability to travel (up to 50%).
Preferred Qualifications (nice to have):
- Experience of working in a global setting and dealing with different cultures.
- MBA or equivalent experience in business education.
- Matrix management and/or cross-functional experience.
