Job Title: Senior Accountant

Shift: Day Shift

Reports to: Head of Finance & IT

Department: Finance

What you will do:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly operating statements for senior management and department managers and other stakeholders, shareholders, and banking partners.
  • Responsible for period closing, account reconciliations, working papers analysis, maintenance, and report generation.
  • Owning accounting processes within the ERP system.
  • Assist in the business planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles through partnering with the management team.
  • Work with operations to define, measure, analyze, and improve current processes with impacts to financial results.
  • Investigate to recognize variances and ensure departments understand the story behind the variances.
  • Support and backup for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.

Who you are:

  • A dynamic well-rounded individual with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, able to work under pressure with meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Critical thinker with strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Digitally fluent in MS Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central and Jet Reporting an asset and/or proficient in report writing with equivalent systems.
  • Hold a University degree in Business/Accounting, with an advanced degree or professional accounting designation preferred or near completion of your designation.
