Creates documentation to enable Resideo's global audience to sell and install home comfort, safety, security, and energy efficiency products. Works with product development teams to research and publish to online, mobile, and print formats for global audiences including installers, homeowners, and sales. Conducts interviews to define scope, key audiences, task list, and technical requirements. Authors technical documentation according to plan, tests it, and validates it with users and subject matter experts. Prototypes and evaluates tools for improving authoring, content management, deployment technology.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with Engineering, Support, Project Management, and Marketing to define documentation architecture, requirements, audiences, and technical information.
• Author single-sourced technical content including Installation and setup guides, end user manuals, technical bulletins, and packaging used by technical professionals and homeowners.
• Manage documentation plans, schedules, review, and approval processes.
• Direct the work of illustrators creating assembly and wiring diagrams and product labels.
• Publish single-sourced mobile and embedded in-app performance support documentation.
• Design and maintain print-ready layouts for small booklets and foldouts.
• Prepare single-sourced documentation for release to printer and follow appropriate system-based configuration and content management procedures.
• Maintain product domain expertise in assigned HVAC, plumbing, or security systems.
• Ensure technical documentation meets international regulatory standards.
• Manage and implement documentation translations using AI tools.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• 5+ years of equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience with publishing for mobile applications.
• Proficiency with MadCap Flare or MadCap Central.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects with moving deadlines.
• Proficiency with Adobe products including Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
• An excellent level of English (written and spoken).
