What do you get to do in this position?

Schneider Electric seeks a motivated individual to serve as H&D NAM Industrialization Chapter Leader for Component and Tooling Technologies. The individual will lead a team through all phases of new product development, adhering to Offer Lifecycle Management (OLM) and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage a cross-functional team within industrialization expertise domains to achieve project KPIs (metal and plastics tooling, welding, painting, surface finish).
  2. Forecast tooling needs, quote, and execute projects in a timely manner, with experience in Capital Management for Tooling.
  3. Engage regularly with Design Engineering management to increase efficiency in part design qualification.
  4. Enforce design engineering part-level maturity reviews prior to release.
  5. Develop a pool of suppliers by technology and lead technical evaluations through active engagement with commodity management.
  6. Support technical audits at supplier and operations sites to enhance procurement and supply chain performance.
  7. Ensure the application of Schneider global standards for tool design and production processes.
  8. Drive systematic processes to optimize CAPEX, OPEX, quality, industrial footprint, and supply chain flows.
  9. Deliver mandatory requirements defined by GSC Strategy & Performance global team.
  10. Collaborate with other cross-functional teams such as Design, Procurement, and Quality to optimize industrial design and offer requirements.
  11. Develop team competencies related to technologies and innovations, including technical, soft, and personal development skills.
  12. Ensure successful ramp-up and transfer to plants through training, support, and meeting defined metrics.
  13. Align with other Industrialization functions across business units and regions for best practices and standardization.

This job might be for you if:

  • Required: Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering.
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree.
  • Experience in metal fabrication, punching, cutting, bending of copper/aluminum and sheet metals.
  • Experience with component design, tooling, and plastic/die casting processes (thermoset and thermoplastic).
  • Advanced experience with ProE or similar 3D CAD software.
  • Desirable: Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean skills or equivalent.
