This position involves procurement planning, negotiation, and follow-up activities to provide various commodities supporting the planning process and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop suppliers to ensure optimal quality and delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and foster strong supplier relationships.
• Support engineering, production, and quality teams on changes or projects related to raw materials or MRO purchases.
• Utilize problem-solving tools (5W, A3, VSM, Kaizen, etc.) to address issues related to supplier deliveries and costs.
• Procure materials according to BOM and project-specific requirements.
• Maintain system parameters (price, lead times, MOQ, primary supplier) to improve delivery performance, minimize inventory, and prevent shortages.
• Conduct supplier visits as needed and participate in quality system audits for qualification.
• Validate prices before purchase to ensure PPV is maintained.
• Resolve invoice holds and address root causes to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory reduction and purchase price variance reduction.
• Sourcing and supplier development expertise.
• APICS certification or courses.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
