Research Faculty Positions at the Institute for the Future of Education - Neuroscience

The Institute for the Future of Education (https://tec.mx/en/ife) was established to be a leading global institute for knowledge creation, dissemination, and application in educational innovation, focusing on higher education and lifelong learning. The Institute aims to improve lives worldwide through interdisciplinary research, collaborations, and innovative solutions to enhance educational quality, accessibility, and affordability.

The Research Lab (RL) of the Institute offers opportunities for both junior and senior professors to lead research activities that aim to transform education within Tecnologico de Monterrey and beyond. The RL promotes interdisciplinary research, integrating knowledge from various disciplines to develop science-based innovations that could revolutionize education design and delivery.

The RL invites researchers of all seniorities to apply for faculty positions to develop world-class research in higher education and lifelong learning. The focus areas include Competence-based education, Engaging and motivating educational models, and Educational Technology, targeting research on educational models, technology impact, and workforce connection.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, scientific appreciation, communication skills, a broad network of stakeholders, and a passion for innovative challenges.

• Ph.D. in Neuroeducation, Educational Neurosciences, or related fields; or a Ph.D. in another discipline with proven experience in neuroeducation or educational neurosciences.
• Experience in research projects and/or academic activities in neuroeducation or neuroengineering experimental studies.
• A significant publication record in high-impact journals over the past five years.
• Proficiency in English: CEFR level B2 or 550 TOEFL points; preference for CEFR C1 or TOEFL 600 points. Spanish proficiency is desirable but not required.
• At least three years of teaching experience at prestigious universities or research centers with teaching responsibilities.
• Membership in the National System of CONACyT Researchers or equivalent.
• Strong leadership potential and commitment to high-impact scientific research, technology development, or entrepreneurship.
• Team-oriented with willingness for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Expected Results:

• Secure external research funding.
• Publish articles in Q1-Q2 journals as first author or in collaboration with international peers.
• Participate as an advisor in graduate programs.
• Teach approximately 25% of their time at Tec de Monterrey.
• Engage in national and international research networks and events.
