OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE:

• As an DD&T RIM System Engineer, you will support the Global General Council (GGC) Record and Information Management operations through collaboration with different Data, Digital, and Technology (DD&T) functions, including Enterprise Architecture, Foundational Technology Platforms, and Enterprise Data and Analytics, to ensure the integrity, maintenance, and management of content archival systems and data classification initiatives.
• The DD&T RIM System Engineer will act as a Subject Matter Expert with advanced technical knowledge of core Records and Information Management archival systems and will be responsible for supporting the daily systems operations and administration.
• You will support record (structured data) archival activities such as data classification, record retention, ingestion, retrieval, and data transfer initiatives. You will respond to standard and non-standard requests, participate in architectural design, development, customization, and integration of solutions related to Records and Information Management archival systems. Collaboration with DD&T colleagues and Business Units will be essential for data migration, transformation, and ingestion solutions.
• You will own infrastructure design and analysis, plan application installations, upgrades, migrations, monitor system health and performance, and recommend configuration improvements.
• Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues during testing and production, perform installations and upgrades, and serve as a point of contact for related questions and escalations.
• Lead the design of structured data migration and ingestion, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
• Support standardization, customization, ad-hoc data analysis, and develop mechanisms for data ingestion, analysis, validation, normalization, and cleaning.
• Define data requirements, organize structured data for archival, and validate data, working closely with business stakeholders to meet data retention, security, and retrieval needs.
• Lead creation, design, and testing of data migration and ingestion activities, support other application teams during migration and testing, and provide technical consulting on data naming, classification, design, and security controls.
• Support secure data transfers during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, generate manifest files, and maintain audit trails.
• Develop documentation for training, software use, user procedures, and project deliverables.

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS:

• Technical/Functional expertise in data movement patterns, practices, and tools.
• Administer Records and Information Management Structured Data Archive.
• Design and execute data migration processes, lead data ingestion or migration from legacy systems.
• Develop deep technical expertise in data practices and oversee delivery of design specifications and testing documents.
