Sr Product Engineer

Overview

The purpose of this position is to design filters to customer’s specs using design manufacturing techniques while staying within customer cost restraints.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies
2. Establish project requirements with sales and customers
3. Establish current manufacturing methods with manufacturing
4. Design new manufacturing methods with manufacturing
5. Building and testing sample filters
6. Works with purchasing to spec and coordinate raw materials
7. Set up project costs with costing department
8. Fulfill all packaging requirements by working with vendors
9. Create quality requirements with Quality control
10. Work with all departments to guide and troubleshoot new product startups
11. Regular testing of existing products to ensure compliance to claims
12. Look for opportunities to take cost out of existing products through design, materials and processes

Qualifications

Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Software: AutoCAD (Inventor or other 3D CAD experience a plus)
Skills: Knowledge of spreadsheets (preferably Excel), ability to handle multiple projects, strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Other Requirements: Must be willing to travel periodically to US (Visa is a must), project management skills (preferred), plastic injection molded part design (preferred), basic understanding of air filtration (preferred), English proficiency of 90%
Experience: 5 years of experience in a similar position
