A successful candidate will collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to assess, prioritize and facilitate the development of solutions for customers’ toughest challenges. It is essential that good customer relationships are built and maintained, and that the territory is appropriately segmented and well covered.

High levels of integrity and self-motivation are required to do this role, coupled with the requirement for planning skills and accountability.

  • Assess distributor and sales representative competencies to determine needs and/or deficiencies
  • Work with cross-functional departments to adapt, develop and implement training programs based on those requirements
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to support sales growth and business goals
  • Build strong relationships with key influencers including industry partners, KOLs, governments and institutions in the Region to build brand loyalty and increase sales
  • Attend medical conferences, exhibitions, and workshops, as appropriate
  • Handle distributor and customer requests for product information, including product descriptions, training materials, promotional and marketing media, etc.
  • Act as an ambassador for all compliance, quality and health and safety standards set out by the company, ensuring that all processes, procedures and trainings are followed and maintained
  • Expected to spend a minimum of 75% of time in the field with customers and key accounts
  • May perform additional duties and special assignments as directed by management

Key Performance Indicators

  • Achievement of sales target and growth over prior year, prior quarter etc.
  • Execution of plans aligned to business case
  • Annual Performance Reviews

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of the medical device arena, preferably with a concentration in women’s healthcare
  • Comprehension of the Region’s diverse healthcare systems
  • Aptitude for engaging and motivating by providing product & sales training to company partners
  • Effective territory planning
  • Ability to collaborate across a matrix organization

  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal day to day management
  • Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English; Portuguese is an additional benefit

Experience & Education

  • 5+ years of experience in the medical device industry, having worked regionally across multiple countries and cultures
  • Background in sales training or customer engagement activities
  • Experience in the OR
  • Bachelors degree and clinical or other advanced degree
