What will you bring to the team.

As a Sr. Java Support Engineer working for Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, you will play a key role in shaping the future of retail by enhancing shopping experiences for retailers. We develop and deliver custom software solutions like POS, self-checkout, and mobility solutions for retail clients worldwide. We seek proactive and skilled individuals to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and evolving environment.

What you will be doing:

1. Working with cross-functional teams to define POS application requirements.
2. Analyzing and providing schedule inputs, writing functional and design specifications.
3. Supporting software testing efforts and participating in support and maintenance activities.
4. Communicating effectively across technical levels, from application architects to end users.

Necessary qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in software development and/or support with Java.
• Experience with Java 8.
• Experience working with agile methodologies and the entire SDLC.
• Knowledge of JUnit.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Willingness to support international customers.
• Proficiency in English.

Preferred skills:

• XML.
• RMI.
• HTML.
• Networked application programming.
• Hands-on experience with any IDE.
• Java Swing.
