Basic Purpose:
Under minimum supervision, the Network Engineer is responsible for the configuration and day-to-day management of software and hardware required for the internal and external network. Plan and support of enterprise network and to perform troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls and other associated systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Document problems and solutions of the network, and identify improvements for the upgrading of the system when needed. Monitor performance of the network and implement updates and tuning of the systems. Maintain a professional working relationship with both internal and external customers.

On-site M-F during standard business hours. Some level of after-hours activity can be expected. Office environment. Must be able to speak audibly and intelligibly on the telephone and in person. Must be able to establish and maintain productive, positive and cooperative relationships with ISOs, co-workers, and vendors. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to work holidays and weekends as necessary based on business needs. Regular travel not expected, but must be able to travel.
Qualifications:
High School or equivalent experience and 3 – 5 years of networking experience in banking or finance industry; credit card processing preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science generally preferred. MCSE, CCNA or equivalent certification a plus. Must possess a demonstrable working knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, network monitoring tools, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP. Strong MPLS experience in a large scale complex enterprise networking environment. Experience in ground-up development of networks and facilities moves a plus. Experience with Cisco product line required, ACI experience a plus. Experience with Avaya Call Manager and IP Office a plus. Excellent organizational skills. Professional oral and written communications skills. Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with team and customers. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. High energy, enthusiastic and proactive self-starter. Aptitude to work under pressure and be highly adaptable. Capable of determining accurate timelines and deliverables. Proficient in Windows based computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
