Formación

Design & Release Engineer - Vision & Lighting (Rear Lighting)

Job Description

The DRE (Design & Release Engineer) oversees the design and development of automotive components for automotive products and releases designs in the PLM systems according to engineering and functional requirements, design standards, and performs validation tests to ensure high quality standards for Rear Lighting systems and components. The DRE supports product development from concept design phases to product launch.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, validate, and release automotive products and projects.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including suppliers, engineering, and quality to study functionality and implement engineering changes.
3. Support 3D and 2D development of components.
4. Coordinate with global teams to improve vehicle design efficiency, meeting quality, cost, and functionality standards.
5. Develop and validate prototypes or components.

Requirements:

• BSc in engineering (mechanical, aeronautical, automotive, structural, etc.).
• 1 to 5 years of experience in designing or engineering the first surface of headlamps or tail lamps, the B surface (housing and lighting internals), and lamp output.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for these components.
• Experience with GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency with CAD systems such as NX/Teamcenter or Catia.
• Proficient in advanced English communication.
• Experience developing large injection-molded components.
• Experience with injection molding, painting, and decorating plastic components.
• Release experience for both mechanical and electrical components.
• Electronics/electrical simulation and electronic packaging experience.
• Knowledge of automotive lighting standards and specifications.
