Meaningful Work From Day One

Serve as a business partner with the corporation and its operating units within Corporate Accounting, performing financial accounting and analysis, with a focus on accurate and timely results.

What You Can Expect

  • Oversee financial accounting, reporting, and analysis for corporate groups, including benefits, compensation, legal, and risk management.
  • Conduct month and year-end accounting and closing activities, including account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and compliance with corporate financial policies.
  • Use systems like Google, SAP, BW, Workiva, Tableau, and Excel to retrieve data, produce reports, and analyze financial information.
  • Handle legal fee accounting, including the review of contingent liabilities.
  • Review contracts and assess contingent liabilities related to risk management.
  • Manage accounting for various benefits and compensation, including bonus accruals, pension accounting, SERP, deferred compensation plans, 401(K) accrual, and hypo tax accrual.
  • Assist with accounting and compliance for revenue recognition (ASC606).
  • Help prepare CECL calculations to estimate and evaluate allowances for doubtful accounts.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, assist with balance sheet reviews, and review journal entries and reconciliations as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 4+ years of experience in Public or Corporate Accounting. CPA required.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and ability to apply it, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including the ability to validate, analyze, and sort large datasets. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present results clearly and concisely.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects independently within tight deadlines.
  • Expertise in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions), and proficiency in Google Slides or PowerPoint.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to changing work environments.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
