A leading educational institution is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with regulations. The role involves managing audits, supervising the accounting team, and implementing internal controls to safeguard the institution's financial health. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Public Accounting and extensive experience in financial management.

ISP Accounting Manager Role Profile

Purpose of Role

The accounting manager is responsible for ensuring accurate recording and control of financial operations, while complying with tax and accounting regulations. Additionally, they implement internal controls to prevent errors and fraud, contributing to the institution's financial sustainability.

ISP Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Review of monthly closings
  • Monitor deadlines and schedules to ensure timely month-end close
  • Manage internal and external audits
  • Liaise with headquarters
  • Prepare year-end close, including deliverables and reports
  • Supervise the accounting team
  • Coordinate and align efforts across other departments for joint tasks
  • Oversee accounting records
  • Reconcile and validate balance sheet and P&L accounts

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, including presentation software
  • Auditing experience for the preparation and presentation of financial closings and reports
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations, including monthly and annual calculations and proper accounting
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
  • Education: Degree in Public Accounting
  • Experience: 10–15 years
  • Proven people management and leadership experience
  • Experience in monthly accounting closures
  • Experience in system configuration: Oracle (NetSuite), SAP
  • Experience in audits and year-end financial closings
  • Familiarity with deferred revenue and deferred tax accounting
  • Familiarity with IFRS 16 (Leases) and D-3 (Deferred Taxes)
