Introduction to the Role
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head of Development to lead our donor engagement and fundraising efforts. You will manage a small team, maintain and build relationships with funders, and collaborate internally to meet funding targets aligned with our strategy.
The role involves contributing to our broader external engagement efforts, influencing funding commitments, and supporting the movement to end child marriage.
About You
You should have a strong track record in donor relations and fundraising, with experience in diversifying income streams and securing substantial funding. You will bring strategic thinking, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to relationship management and team collaboration.
Job Location
Mexico City, Mexico. Candidates must have the right to work in Mexico for at least two years.
Work may occasionally require outside normal hours or international travel. Fluency in English is essential.
Accountability
Reporting to the Director of External Engagement.
Salary and Contract
Market-competitive salary based on a detailed survey, paid in local currency. The role is a two-year fixed-term, full-time position, primarily remote, with necessary equipment provided.
Key Responsibilities
Experience: Over 10 years in development/fundraising, with proven success in securing large-scale funding and managing diverse funding streams.
Skills & Knowledge: Strategic resource mobilization, understanding of global trends in gender and girls' rights funding, excellent communication, and leadership skills.
Desirable: Experience in related thematic areas, additional language skills, and international experience.
