Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks an automotive driveshaft engineer to design, develop, and release driveshaft systems and related components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, cost, weight, and timing targets are met, while leading DFMEA, DVP&R, root cause analysis, and validation activities.

Ideal candidates hold a technical degree and 3–5 years in automotive product development, with proficiency in NX/CATIA/Teamcenter and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical/electrical/automotive engineering field.
• 3–5 years in automotive product development, design, release, or component integration.
• Strong knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T and validation methodologies.
• Proficiency with CAD and PLM systems (NX, CATIA, Teamcenter).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and release driveshaft systems and related components to meet performance, cost, weight, and timing targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, validation, manufacturing, suppliers, and vehicle integration.
• Lead DFMEA, DVP&R, root cause analysis, validation activities, and change management processes.
• Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation per standards.
• Manage suppliers, coordinate design reviews, track program milestones, and support launches and warranty.
