Job summary

Ford México is seeking a Cyber Security Data Protection Specialist to manage DLP operations, develop data queries, and support security tool integrations in a on-site role at GTBC Ford México (Naucalpan, México).

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, 1+ years in cybersecurity, strong English, and knowledge of data protection practices. The role emphasizes collaboration with global teams and ongoing process improvements to prevent data loss.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 1+ Years experience in a cybersecurity role.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in Data Protection / Information security Roles.
• Knowledge in Query Languages.
• Knowledge in Phyton programming.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Focus on DLP operations, including alert triage, data analysis, policy tuning and investigations.
• Develop SQL and/or KQL queries and use Python, C#, or VBA to improve DLP analysis and workflows.
• Support integrations and automation through APIs and security tools (MS Defender, MS Sentinel, MS Purview).
• Collaborate with multicultural, cross-functional and multi-regional teams.
• Establish and manage relationships with key business stakeholders.
• Analyze global data loss prevention data to provide metric reporting.
• Conduct new hire orientation and DLP training.
• Translate business requirements into deliverables and negotiate feasibility.
• Define, implement and support improvements preventing data disclosure, modification, removal or destruction.
• Serve as a DLP subject matter expert and participate in policy/rule development lifecycle.
• Assist with potential breach investigations and understand data privacy regulations.
• Perform enhanced monitoring and provide resolutions to stakeholders.
