Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
1–2 years of trucking industry and/or dispatch experience.
Advanced English required.
Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations.
Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word) and quick learning of fleet software.

Responsibilities

Dispatch Support: Assist in dispatch of pending loads, schedule, and dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver.
Scheduling & Coordination: Schedule and dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver loads, coordinating daily routes and communicating freight requirements.
Route Management: Monitor route changes and adjust routes for timely deliveries.
Problem Resolution: Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve issues.
Driver Support: Help drivers with routing directions and proper execution.
Compliance: Maintain high dispatch standards and operating procedures.
Systems & Reporting: Update customer portals with load information and pull forecasts.
Safety: Enforce safety procedures and monitor driver reports for equipment safety.
Cost Analysis: Analyze opportunities to reduce transportation costs.
Fleet Planning: Ensure trailer pool placement supports daily customer requirements.
