Job Description Summary:
Execute the Operational Unit Technical Innovation & Supply Chain Sustainability strategy on water and CO2 footprint reduction. Ensure governance and controls are in place and monitor the internal and external trends. Determine the Operational Unit water risk management framework and priorities, work with business to drive water risk assessments and monitor water risk (global/local). Accountable to implement Operational Unit Emissions Reduction plans. Influence and shape water investment plans including complex analysis of cost, infrastructure developments, strategic partnerships. Close collaboration with key stakeholders such as PACS (Public Affairs, Communications, Sustainability), (Quality) QSE, Operational Unit- and franchise system leadership teams.
What You’ll Do for Us
The scope of the role is to ensure implementation of water, carbon emission reduction strategies.
The role has direct impact and influence over the development of the most optimum OU sustainability strategy and implementation plan in line with the global sustainability strategy and TCCS sustainability commitments.
The role is responsible for the OU operational sustainability OPEX decisions / Capex recommendations regarding water replenishment & CO2 footprint reduction strategies.
The goals and strategies for the role focus on short-term (1 year), mid-term (2-3 years) and long term (3+ years) development and execution of the OU Sustainability water replenishment Strategy, Programs, Goals & Targets and tracking progress.
Work with PACS (Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability), SRA, Supply Chain and Governmental teams for any new legislation that may affect the Company resulting in environment taxes.
Responsibility in multiple regions: Mexico, Central and South regions.
Coordinate the water & CO2 footprint sustainability agenda cross functionally across QSE, PACS and the OU. The following areas define the key focus of the role:
Technical sustainability strategy: Ensure within the global sustainability strategy and commitments the most optimum and accelerated implementation of the water & CO2 footprint strategy. Ensure accelerated progress of sustainability commitments across water & CO2 footprint while ensuring OU sustainability by design leadership in innovation and across the supply chain. In collaboration with the PACS and OU sustainability leads influence sustainability agenda and investments.
Governance, compliance: Ensure OU Operations has all license to operate and KORE sustainability requirements, OU governance are in place in line with the global governance framework requirements and local risks.
Innovation: Ensure the technical sustainability innovation pipeline, technical sustainability agenda is in place, drive top and bottom line growth and create competitive advantage. Lead the implementation support for water sustainability & CO2 footprint reduction aspects that protects and enhances our regional and corporate reputation.
OU (Operating Unit) water replenishment & CO2 footprint network orchestration: Drive organizational alignment on operational sustainability across OUs-Bottling partners and corporate QSE. Champion OU water & CO2 footprint sustainability agenda and overall Culture and Strategies to enable business growth. Bring the external view in, drive external engagement and benchmarking.
Sustainability culture and performance excellence: Responsible to improve performance that accelerates business results.
Communication, negotiation and engagement with multiple key stakeholders to influence and gain alignment on the short- and the long- term operational sustainability strategies and investments.
Think outside-in and is well connected, involve a broader set of stakeholders in decision making.
Represent Operating Unit Sustainability Sr Dir on external stakeholder forums and industry associations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Leadership experience in leading scale transformation programs, change management. Proven successful track record in leading diverse teams.
7-15 years of professional experience in the area. Leading and managing teams desirable.
Field experience within or with Company bottler, beverages manufacturing or food manufacturing industry preferred.
University / Bachelor´s degree: Engineer
University/Advanced degree: Environmental
Finance background desired.
Fluent English and Spanish are Required.

End-to-End Operational sustainability leadership in Sustainable Environmental and Food Safety Principles and Science Based Target.
Franchise and functional leadership – Broad strategy development and influencing within an OU and globally, within the enterprise and across partners, bottlers, external networks.
Risk management, mitigation and communication. Conflict management.
