Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Director of Construction Projects to lead urban development initiatives in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. You will direct planning, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with the highest quality and safety standards.

The role requires a proven track record in major projects, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of construction methods and codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with large-scale urban development.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Strong contract negotiation and management skills.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management.

Responsabilités

• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of multiple construction projects.
• Develop and manage project budgets to meet financial objectives.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules and identify critical paths.
• Select and manage general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Liaise with government agencies, authorities, and stakeholders.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.
• Lead and mentor project teams and foster accountability.
• Resolve disputes or issues during construction.
• Oversee project close-out, including final inspections and documentation.
