Job summary

PHINIA Sweden AB is seeking a seasoned purchasing professional to manage and execute purchasing strategies for the automotive sector, ensuring timely supply of materials and services, cost competitiveness, quality, and compliance.

You will lead supplier negotiations, monitor delivery times, evaluate supplier performance, and collaborate with production, logistics, and finance to drive cost reductions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in purchasing within automotive or manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• English proficiency required.
• Experience with SAP ERP preferred.
• Knowledge of automotive processes is a plus.

JOB PURPOSE

Manage and execute purchasing strategies to ensure the timely supply of materials and services, guaranteeing cost competitiveness, quality, and compliance with operational requirements within the automotive industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage purchasing processes and supplier negotiations
• Ensure timely and accurate material supply
• Evaluate supplier costs, delivery times, and performance
• Follow up on purchase orders and inventory levels
• Participate in supplier development and qualification activities
• Analyze purchasing KPIs and generate reports
• Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance departments
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement projects

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Experience: At least 7 years in purchasing within the automotive or manufacturing industry
• Technical Knowledge Required: Supplier negotiation and management, ERP management (SAP preferred), material planning and supply, cost and KPI analysis, supply chain and logistics knowledge, advanced Excel skills, knowledge of automotive processes (preferred)
• Other Requirements:
• English Level: Proficient
