The Associated Press seeks a dynamic journalist to lead digital storytelling across platforms. You will produce compelling video content, guide editors and producers, and ensure fast, accurate, and engaging coverage for audiences worldwide.

You will leverage analytics and trends to shape coverage while maintaining AP’s high editorial standards under deadline pressure. Overnight and weekend shifts are required, with fulltime commitment in Mexico.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in journalism or related field.
• Proven ability to craft digital video stories with strong audience impact.
• Excellent news judgment and ability to decide quickly under deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Set priorities with editors and assign stories for digital formats.
• Produce digital stories and guide producers on presentation and prioritization.
• Track trends and audience engagement to adjust coverage in real time.
• Deliver breaking stories quickly with accuracy and clarity.
• Edit headlines and apply SEO best practices for visibility.
• Use analytics to inform editorial timing and decisions.
• Train reporters and editors to strengthen storytelling across teams.
• Coordinate evergreen edits and obituary preparedness for news breaks.
• Maintain high editorial standards across published content.
