Stellantis is seeking an experienced Die Project Specialist based in Toluca to lead stamping feasibility and die processes from cradle to grave. You will coordinate die design, construction, and tryouts, ensuring dimensional and surface buy offs align with MQGR standards while delivering parts for home production lines.
The ideal candidate has a strong automotive background, deep knowledge of progressive and line dies, and experience collaborating with stamping plants and US die process
The Die Project Specialist works on Stellantis new vehicle programs and will be responsible for stamping feasibility and die processes for line and progressive dies from initial feasibility through the first production parts.
The ideal candidate would have a passion for the automotive industry, be a hard worker, self-starter, team player and creative.
Must have a proven record and a strong background with progressive dies from cradle to grave.
Coordination and control of deliverables for Die design, Die construction, functional tryouts, statics, dynamics, dimensional and surface buy off, shipping to home production plant, home line tryouts, dimensional and surface buy off in plant, and delivery to home plant.
Participation and decision making with the Teams of Stellantis USA (die process engineers) and Stamping Plants (Toluca&Saltillo), for feasibility studies, die design, expert reviews, design buy off, die process, machined on 2D & 3D, die construction, functional try out, static and dynamic check list, dimensional and surface quality buy off for the stamped parts according with MQGR 57 & 67, productivity and quality improvements, coordination of shipping documents to meet with regulatory of Mexican government, coordination of shipping and reception of dies and tool to Mexico Plants, coordination of try outs for dies and automation in home stamping plant, surface and dimensional reviews of stamped panels from new dies, SPIR coordination with quality home plant team, support to provide stamping parts for pilot phases and Production Launch of New Model at Stamping & Production Mexican Plant.
