DiDi Global Inc. in Mexico City is seeking a Category Strategy Intern to support the grocery business in Latin America. This data-driven role offers hands-on experience in catalog optimization, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to improve customer experience and merchant performance.

You will assist with item performance analysis, track optimization initiatives for catalog structure and in-app visibility, and help prepare presentations for leadership to prioritize opportunities.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or related fields.
• Expected graduation in 2027.
• Strong analytical skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to turn data into practical business insights.
• Intermediate-advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills including pivot tables and XLOOKUP.
• Interest in e-commerce, retail, marketplaces, category management, or business strategy.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Team Overview

The Category Strategy Intern role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience at one of the fastest‑growing companies, specifically within the rapidly expanding grocery business in Latin America. This data‑driven role provides strong exposure to analytical thinking and cross‑functional collaboration, supporting the Category team in improving catalog quality and in understanding how optimization efforts drive better customer experience and stronger business performance for merchants and users.

Role Responsibilities

• Assisting with item performance analysis, learning how data is used to identify opportunities aligned with user needs and special consumption moments;


• Tracking optimization initiatives related to catalog structure, category ranking, browsing experience, and in‑app visibility, while partnering with cross‑functional teams to follow up on execution and ongoing action items.


• Supporting A/B analyses, strategy updates, and business presentations by organizing data, summarizing key findings, and helping leadership prioritize opportunities and next steps.

Role Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Business, Economics, Indutrial Engineering, Finance, or related fields.


• Expected graduation in 2027.


• Strong analytical skills, a data‑driven mindset, and the ability to turn data into practical business insights.


• Intermediate‑advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills including: pivot tables, xlookup.


• Interest in e‑commerce, retail, marketplaces, category management, or business strategy.


• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge or interest in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) to create and maintain performance dashboards and visualizations.
