KBR, Inc. seeks a Fuel Distribution System Operator to safely receive, store, transfer, and distribute petroleum products for base operations, operating and maintaining fuel systems and equipment in line with safety and environmental standards.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate or bachelor’s preferred), 2+ years in petroleum storage and distribution, AVOIC training, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; occasional irregular hours and on-call shifts may be required.

  • High school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in storage and distribution of petroleum products.
  • Must have completed the Airfield Vehicle Operators Instruction Course (AVOIC) and possess a government-licensed airfield vehicle operator.
  • Must pass overseas medical screening and maintain good health.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required.

Responsabilidades

  • Receive, store, transfer, and distribute petroleum products in accordance with standards.
  • Operate pumps, valves, gauges, and related equipment; monitor measurements to prevent spills.
  • Conduct quality control tests to ensure compliance with ASTM, MIL-STD and other standards.
  • Maintain logs recording fuel movements, inventory levels, and maintenance actions.
  • Assist with refueling operations and respond to spills per emergency procedures.

DG BOSS: Fuel Distribution System Operator (FN)Responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage, transfer, and distribution of petroleum-based products, including aviation and ground fuels. This position operates and maintains fuel systems and associated equipment in accordance with industry, military, and environmental standards. The operator ensures accurate documentation of fuel movements, conducts quality control checks, and supports overall fuel mission readiness in support of base or project operations.* Performs maintenance on POL system facilities and distribution systems to include, but not be limited to the following tasks:a) Clean and lubricate equipment.b) Pack valves.c) Replace strainers.d) Change filter and monitor elements.e) Install gaskets.f) Make adjustments and minor repairs to pumps, air compressors, diesel and gasoline engines, and other equipment.g) Hydrotest hoses/piping.h) Calibrate gauges, pumps, and meters.i) Perform annual thickness measurements of tank and pipeline systems.* Operate fuel distribution equipment including pumps, valves, filter separators, and pipeline systems to receive, store, and issue fuel products.* Performs tank farm and marine fuel operations per recurring and specific operations orders.* Perform pre/post-operation gauging and temperature measurements of tanks and barges.* Operates pumps, barges, or other distribution equipment.* Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on fuel system components and storage facilities.* Conduct fuel sampling and quality control tests to ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ASTM, MIL-STD).* Monitor gauges, meters, and flow indicators during fuel transfers to prevent spills or overfills.* Accurately record fuel transactions, inventory levels, and maintenance activities in logs and tracking systems.* Assist with aircraft, vehicle, and equipment refueling operations, ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.* Complete required operational forms (e.g. tank gauging sheets, operational checklists, etc) and forward them to controller.* Reports operational status to POL controller via radio as required.* Performs any required actions to protect personnel and/or equipment during operations and perform spill containment and clean-up actions as directed.* Respond to fuel spills and environmental incidents in accordance with emergency response protocols.* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and hazardous materials handling regulations.* Support internal and external audits and inspections.* Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional personnel to support mission and operational goals.* Performs other work-related duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.**Basic Qualifications*** Familiarity with fuel handling procedures, systems operations, and quality control standards.* Ability to operate fueling vehicles and stationary fuel systems safely and efficiently.* Strong understanding of environmental, safety, and hazardous material handling protocols.* Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion of multiple tasks, under strict deadlines and changing priorities.* Good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.* Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.* Must be contract-oriented and computer literate in Microsoft Office software.* Must have a valid country of origin driver's license and be able to operate manual and/or automatic transmission vehicles.* Must have completed Airfield Vehicle Operators Instruction Course (AVOIC) Training and receive a license to operate vehicles on the airfield provided by the U.S. government.* Requires flexibility to work irregular hours and on-call shifts as needed.**JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING*** Additional technical training or certifications in fuel handling or petroleum operations preferred.* HAZMAT and HAZWOPER certifications preferred.**EDUCATION:*** Must be at least a high school, technical, or vocational course graduate is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.**EXPERIENCE:*** At least two (2) years of experience in the storage and distribution of petroleum products. Including operations of constant pressure-type fuel dispensing and storage systems.* Experience working on military or government contracts is preferred.
