DevOps + Azure Engineer (Remote, México)

The DevOps Engineer / Release Manager will manage repositories, enforce versioning guidelines, and oversee release management activities for a development team working on a new app project. The project involves high-performance microservices and an event-driven architecture, with an emphasis on product quality, rapid feature integration, and stability of released features.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

• Version Control and Repository Management: Proficiency in Git and workflows (e.g., Gitflow, GitHub Flow). Experience with tools like GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket. Ability to enforce versioning guidelines.
• CI/CD: Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps. Knowledge of build automation, unit testing, code quality checks. Ability to automate deployment for microservices.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Understanding of IaC with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation. Manage infrastructure using code, with version-controlled configurations.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes. Manage clusters and deploy microservices.
• Monitoring and Observability: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK. Set up alerts, dashboards, and performance metrics. Knowledge of distributed tracing.
• Release Management and Deployment Strategies: Expertise in blue-green, canary, feature flags. Coordinate releases, understand rollback strategies.
• Security and Compliance: Best practices for CI/CD security, secrets management, compliance (GDPR, HIPAA).
• Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication skills, facilitate cross-team collaboration.
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Experience with Selenium, JUnit, pytest. Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
