Your Role

Gensler's IOC Lab is a unique team that provides support to ongoing projects worldwide. You will coordinate and work with a global team to complete innovative projects.

As a Designer at Gensler's IOC Lab, you will actively participate in all phases of the design process, balancing innovative thinking with practical technical solutions. You should thrive on responsibility and accountability, embody open communication, and foster team success.

You are a passionate professional combining creativity, technical knowledge, and business skills to produce functional and beautiful spaces for clients. With exceptional design skills and a background in architecture, you will contribute as an integral team member, engaging in conceptual thinking and design exploration.

  • Coordinate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and vendors to meet project objectives.
  • Deliver high-quality documents reflecting design intent and technical accuracy.
  • Select and research building materials, generating detailed specifications.
  • Participate in office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
  • Build and maintain productive client relationships.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or equivalent foreign qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project experience in an architectural practice.
  • Proficiency in REVIT, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
  • 100% bilingual in English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, construction, and structural principles.
  • Experience in construction documentation and design detailing.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with tact, grace, and emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain existing client relationships and develop new ones.
  • Additional skills in AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Illustrator, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Autodesk certification are a plus.
