Danfoss GmbH is seeking a VAVE Design Engineer in Apodaca, MX to drive design-to-cost initiatives that reduce product cost without compromising performance, quality, or reliability.

You will lead cross-functional teams at the intersection of engineering, sourcing, and operations, pushing for smarter design decisions, material optimization, and manufacturing efficiencies that translate into measurable savings and sustained competitive advantage.

Formación

• Experience in cost-down engineering, value engineering, or design-to-cost.
• Strong knowledge of DFMEA, GD&T, change management, and PLM processes.
• Ability to evaluate design alternatives, materials, and manufacturing methods for cost reduction.
• Proficient with CAD tools: Inventor, CATIA, SolidWorks.

Responsabilidades

• Lead cross-functional design cost reduction projects that deliver measurable savings while maintaining product functionality and quality.
• Facilitate idea generation and value engineering workshops to identify opportunities for design simplification, material optimization, and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate and implement engineering changes that improve product cost competitiveness through design enhancements and alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with suppliers, sourcing teams, manufacturing, and global engineering stakeholders to develop and validate cost-down opportunities.
• Drive change management activities to ensure new design solutions are implemented successfully and deliver the expected business impact.
