Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Design Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara North. Reporting to the Quality Director, the Design Quality Engineer role involves:

What a typical day looks like:
  • Collects, researches, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team.
  • Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.
  • Works with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.
  • Develops initial and subsequent modifications of the Design Quality Assurance program to delineate areas of control, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within the program.
  • Conducts and participates in management meetings with design department heads to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies, coordinate functions and operations between departments, and establish controls and procedures for attaining goals.
  • Interfaces with customers on technical/quality issues and improvement initiatives.
  • Manages customer audits, internal audits, and regulatory/compliance agency audits.
  • Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions or procedural changes.
  • Participates in and manages the Design Site Corrective Action process.
  • Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality.
  • Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new and existing products to address and rectify problems.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems
  • Strong functional, technical, and people/process management skills, with customer relationship abilities
  • Expertise in complex technical areas or broad knowledge across multiple areas, understanding the strategic impact across sites
