Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking an intern Design Engineer in Tijuana to assist in concept development, layout, and detailed drawings using Creo, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD. You will work closely with engineers across disciplines to translate ideas into manufacturable designs.

The role requires pursuing an engineering major and strong bilingual communication in English and Spanish, with the position onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant engineering degree.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Knowledge of gas turbines or heat recovery equipment is a plus.
• Strong written/spoken English and Spanish communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide design support from concept to layout and detail drawings.
• Utilize Creo, SolidWorks and AutoCAD for design tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site in Tijuana.
