Akkodis is seeking a Design & Release Engineer for Vision & Lighting (Rear Lighting) to oversee design, validation, and release of automotive lighting components. You will work with cross-functional teams across global sites to ensure quality and adherence to standards.

The role requires a mechanical/automotive engineering background, experience with lamp housings, and proficiency in English. Responsibilities span from concept design to product launch with emphasis on GD&T, DFMEA, and release

Formación

• BS in engineering (mechanical, aeronautical, automotive, structural, etc.).
• 1 to 5 years of experience in design or engineering of headlamp or tail lamp housing and lamp output.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for automotive lighting components.
• Experience with GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R and root cause analysis.
• Proficient communication in English.
• Experience developing large injection molded components.
• Release experience in mechanical and electrical components.
• Knowledge of automotive lighting specifications and standards.

Responsabilidades

Job Description The DRE (Design & Release Engineer) oversees design and develop automotive components for automotive products and release designs in the PLM systems according to the engineering and functional requirements, design standards, and provide and perform validation plants and testing warranty high quality standards for Rear Lighting systems and components. The DRE supports product development from concept design phases to product launching.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, validate and release automotive products and projects.
• Work with cross-functional teams that include suppliers, engineering team, quality, etc. to study functionality and execute engineering changes.
• Provide support for 3D and 2D development of components.
• Interact with global teams to make vehicle design more efficient, meeting quality standards, estimated costs and functionality.
• Development and validation of prototypes or components.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in engineering (mechanical, aeronautical, automotive, structural, etc.).
• 1 to 5 years of experience in the design or engineering of the first surface of the headlamp or tail lamp, the B surface (housing and lighting internals) and the lamp output.
• Knowledge of the manufacturing processes used to manufacture the mentioned components.
• Experience with GD&T, (DFMEA), (DVP&R) and root cause analysis.
• Experience and knowledge in CAD systems (NX/Teamcenter or Catia).
• Proficient communication in advanced English language.
• Experience developing large injection molded components.
• Experience with injection molding, painting, and decorating plastic components.
• Release experience in both Mechanical and electrical components.
• Electronics/electrical simulation experience and electronic packaging.
• Knowledge of automotive lighting specifications and standards.
