A leading company in the instruments sector is seeking a Demand Manager to oversee the demand planning process for its diverse product portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in forecasting methods and demand management within a significant portfolio. This role requires strong analytical skills and excellent communication proficiency, ensuring accurate forecasts in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams. A bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience are crucial for applicants.

Formación

  • Experience managing demand across multiple products.
  • CPIM certification is preferred.

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

The Demand Manager will be responsible for the overall demand planning process for all Products within the VSD Division supporting multiple business units. The product portfolio is broad and hence the role requires an individual who has strong experience managing the demand over a broad portfolio and familiar with various forecasting methods to be applied as appropriate.

You Make an Impact By:

  • Examine historical shipments, utilize statistical forecast tools, collect forecast information input from Sales and documents the assumptions used in developing the forecast

  • Examine historical shipments, marketing/category trends, including consumption and utilize statistical forecast tools

  • Collect forecast information input from Marketing used in developing the forecast by item by week by customer and geography location where applicable.

  • Either maintain or train someone to maintain the demand forecast for all product lines

  • Track and report actual demand vs. forecast and assumptions, and is responsible for eliminating forecast bias and for continuously improving forecast accuracy results.

  • Adjust forecast or make recommendations to adjust the forecast through every demand cycle.

  • Complete all required education and training and participates in implementation and development of new forecasting software.

  • Continuously improve technical capability in the use of the forecasting tool and in creating accurate forecasts.

  • First contact for Sales and Customer Marketing (Trade) regarding variances outside tolerance, and in gathering building blocks/assumptions applied to forecasts

  • Work closely with Marketing or Sales leadership in identifying forecast assumptions that are likely to significantly affect forecast accuracy performance and effectiveness

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Supply Chain, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience working in a diverse and global supply chain organization with minimum $200M annual demand plan responsibility.

  • Demand planning or leading experience across multiple products.

  • CPIM is highly preferred.

  • SAP Proficiency is highly preferred.

  • C-suite level presentation and communication proficiency.
