Formación

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a DBA.
  • Preferable to be knowledgeable about the logistics industry.
  • Advanced English level required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage high-transactional SQL Server databases through many product lifecycle environments ranging from development to mission-critical production.
  • Implement, configure, maintain and monitor performance of all database systems using database audit tables, logs and performance analyzers like DPA.
  • Independently track, analyze, research, solve, implement and document approved changes for real-time issues.
  • Refine, automate and document all current and future DBA processes with documents, diagrams, operational procedures and architectural designs.
  • Assist developers with critical complex query tuning, index suggestion, and DDL changes.
  • Share 24x7x365 support for our production critical systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support code release deployment activities after-hours.
  • Cross-train peers and team members by sharing domain and technical skills expertise.
  • Interface with the BI Reporting team to support their data warehousing needs from our many transactional data stores.
  • Design, review and implement disaster recovery plans for database services across the organization.

Position Overview

The position is the gatekeeper of the customs import-export database, performing regular updates to its catalogs on approved changes by the import-export manager. Works directly with the provider on software performance and maintenance updates, as well as projects related to changes in customs regulations or company requirements.

What you'll do
  • Maintain and control the IMMEX inventory balance in the customs compliance software under the threshold period required by Mexican Customs Law by type of operation (18 months for IN, 6 months for V1, etc)
  • Reconcile all import and export manifests (pedimentos) against the DataStage file that’s received by SAT
  • Execute the monthly backflush process in the customs compliance software against the reconciled DataStage inventory to get to the PCN/HTS quantity balance and generate an executive summary
  • Cross-reference the backflush report against the SAP inventory by PCN to identify offenders
  • Transmit the monthly backflush report to SAT once approved by the import-export manager
  • Direct point of contact with the software provider for maintenance updates or other requirements
  • Maintain and control project logs for hourly service packages
  • Work in conjunction with local IT on database backups
Who you are
  • Engineering in IT systems, Comercio Exterior y Aduanas, LAE, or similar
  • 5 years experience
  • Advanced English Level
  • Proficiency in SQL and SAP
