Cognizant invites a hands-on engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data and search platforms using OpenSearch, Couchbase, and Python. This hybrid role spans four Mexican locations: Guadalajara, CDMX, Monterrey and Queretaro.

The ideal candidate will bring strong NoSQL and DBA fundamentals, cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP), and advanced English to collaborate across teams.

Formación

• Strong experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch stack.
• Hands-on expertise in Couchbase (NoSQL DB).
• Solid DBA fundamentals (performance tuning, backup/recovery, HA/DR).
• Proficiency in Python (automation, scripting).
• Experience with REST APIs, data integration and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Advanced English is a must.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement and manage OpenSearch clusters (indexing, search optimization, performance tuning).
• Administer and support Couchbase databases (cluster setup, replication, backup/recovery, scaling).
• Perform DBA activities including monitoring, tuning, capacity planning and troubleshooting.
• Develop Python scripts/tools for automation, data processing and system integration.
• Optimize query performance, indexing strategies and data models across platforms.
• Ensure high availability, security and data integrity of search and database systems.
• Collaborate with application and data engineering teams on integration and performance improvements.

Seeking a hands‑on engineer with strong expertise in OpenSearch Couchbase and database administration combined with Python development skills to manage optimise and build scalable data/search platforms.

Qualifications
